Dell is refusing to repair my Alienware computer
I have been a Dell customer for years. My current Alienware computer is less than 2 years old. Multiple issues persist even though I have contacted Dell multiple times in the past about these errors. On top of that now my hard drive is failing. I am scheduled to receive a phone call tomorrow to set up a technician appointment and I would like to include the unresolved issues on this ticket as well; USB ports not working, USB port that came damaged from the factory, getting error message USB ports not recognizing connected devices, blue error screen for recovery when starting computer after a shut down, boot manager changing boot options randomly, and freezing when flipping between Windows and World of Warcraft. I have been trying to get these issues fixed for over a year and I've had email chains with you and numerous phone calls where techs took control of my computer and supposedly fixed it (they didnt). I have asked numerous times to either ship it back to you or take it to a local shop to get it repaired and I've gotten neither. For over a year this has been severely impacting my work but it seems that once the computer is sold you no longer offer meaningful support and you dont stand behind your products. I would like all of this cleared up during the technician's visit please.

Most of these are software issues, not hardware -- the warranty covers hardware failures, not software issues.
They also do not do diagnostics at the repair depot -- before a repair is authorized, a component must have failed the diagnostics. Has any component shown a diagnostic failure?

Yes. Hard drive is failing and received a warning for PCI and USB after a hardware diagnostic

Even if most of the items are software issues Dell should still fix it imo. I paid thousands for this computer and it was delivered to me with these issues. I should have received a funcrioning computer with no issues. As I said it was delivered to me like this; I would have a different opinion if these issues developed after I had been using it for a couple of years

The software warranty is much more limited than the hardware with all manufacturers, unless you've opted for a more expensive upgraded service plan.
If you have, they should cover it. If not, it'll be pay for service as it would be with any manufacturer.

I did opt for an upgraded service plan. Im sorry but since when is a company sending someone an inferior and defective product without recourse acceptable? I guess we'll have to agree to disagree on that one.
