Dell XPS 12 Accessories: Unacceptable Order fulfillment nearly 8 weeks

Having been a Dell customer for more than 20 years and been very satisfied with both PC and part orders, I was surprised when I ordered accessories for a Dell XPS 12 under a separate order, I got a shipping date of 7-8 weeks  (ordered 29 Jan 2014 and estimated shipping 10 Mar 2014) and no one able to provide why! Contact Order Tracking and Sales Support and both of these organizations do not have any more info / visibility than what you see on the website. Have tried now some 4 times or so, I all I get in a very polite way "Sit on your chops and wait for the eight weeks to go by" after that contact Customer Support. I was totally astonished that I could not find out what the long pole in the tent was on my order. I would have just cancelled that item for now in order to get the rest. Dell had no info on my order, will not get any further insight in my order until the forecasted shipping date. I have talked with folks from across the world except for Africa, Europe and the Americas. Do not know what to do next, except to ensure that on my next order I will have to vote with my money. Dell Canada has no listed phone numbers for someone in either Toronto or Montreal! Need the special dongle for the Dell 12 to get it connected to a projector. This item should be part of the basic kit if it is unique. Very disappointed! Still get emails addressed to "Valued Customer" etc, etc LOL

Dear Madam / Sir

let me try again.

Question 1:  The question is which of my 4 items is causing the delay?

Question 2:  Depending on your input, I may then cancel or separate that item from my order such as to release the other items.

Thanxs

1. we have no way of knowing here on the forums what is holding the order up.

2. I have a feeling that even if you knew, to amend the order might not be doable.  They probably would have the order cancelled entirely and then you would have to re-order again. This is based on previous problems of this nature and how Dell handled them.

Keep in mind that all my posts are read by Dell, if I am incorrect in what I said, (which I don't believe I am here), they will post something in this thread with additional info.

You can contact Dell directly using this form.  Give them two business days to get back to you.
