Dell's shipping is impossible

Question

I live alone, and Dell basically makes it impossible for me to give them my business! Their shipping with fedex doesn't allow  for dropoff at a secure location. Fedex is not precise even with a shipping window. It is ridiculous that I may have to take off work just to get a computer. I will never under any circumstance order from Dell again if I have to take off work due to their oddball shipping issues. Fed ex delayed my package the first time around. What if I took off work to receive, and then had to again? Why would I ever want to deal with a company that is giving me this hassle?

Thank you-I'm open to any viable solution. I can take a 5pm or later delivery window, a drop off at a fedex secure location, or Im willing to drive to a fedex facility. PM sent and any help appreciated.

So far, Dell has not offered a solution to this issue. If you don't have somebody just sitting and waiting at home, you basically can't buy computers direct from Dell if you end up with certain Fedex shipping situations. So far, I have no way of receiving this package and will have to reverse the charges with my credit card company. It is Dell's responsiblity to provide viable and reasonable shipping options to customers.

The package as ultimately delivered at 7:10 pm outside of the early afternoon window given by FedEX.  I'm not sure if this was due to help from DellCares offering to make the request, or Fedex being random, but the issue is resolved and the assistance appreciated.
