'Expedited' shipping

Question

Hello!

I am trying to get clarity about what "Expedited Shipping" means. My order was shipped Jan 29, and according to the tracking details, it shipped Purolator "Ground", with a delivery estimate of 12 days transit time. This does not seem "expedited" to me. The expedited shipping was, I believe, a gesture applied by the order modification rep I was speaking with, to atone for the repeated delays and misinformation I experienced during my ordering experience. However it now seems to have fallen flat. Assistance would be appreciated!

As a point of comparison for you, I paid for 'NEXT DAY' shipping on my Alienware R13.  It was marked as shipped on Thursday, 2/3/2022 @1814 CST.  It is now 2/7/2022 and Dell still has not given the package to FedEx and apparently can't even find my PC any more...

I have to admit, they're very sneaky when they say 'expedited shipping'.

Most equipment is coming from outside the US (China or Mexico) and then hits the States and goes from there. That part of it will be expedited - but the rest of it is up in the air...

In the end: It means they're move faster than they normally would - which is only slightly faster than slow.

Make no mistake, it doesn't matter what shipping 'speed' you pay for, it will have absolutely no impact on the speed with with Dell with do anything, including actually giving your order to an actual shipping company.

If it says it was shipped ground, it wasn’t expedited. It would be by air if it were expedited.

Did someone from the Dell team contact you?  I think they confused me as you.  I got a message saying something about a computer shipped on 1/29 being in Canada.
