Extending Warranty?
Contacted the Dell Support maybe 2 months ago and never heard back. Do they actually care about customers wanting to extend their warranty? I have 1 month left to do so and it was actually very useful when I had an issue with a part on my laptop.

It's basically insurance -- and the only time it really makes economic sense is at purchase, when a 3-year extension is about $100.
After a point (4 years with Dell), shorter with Apple and others -- you can no longer extend the warranty, so if your system is now about four years old, there's no further extension to purchase (and at that point, any funds are better put toward a replacement system than into repair of an old one).

You need to call to inquire about a warranty extension.
Expect the cost of a year's extension to run upward of $400US -- you may be better off putting the funds aside for any needed repairs.

Ouch! Indeed. They don't reach out via email anymore? I had paid $300 for 3 years last time. $400 per year would be wow lol

Thank you! I ended up calling them and that’s exactly what they told me. I didn’t know 4 years was the max. They make it sound like you can extend further when you check your warranty. You actually can from what they told me but software only which I am not interested in. I had purchased 3 years right off the bat and it indeed makes a lot of sense. You are looking at less than $100 a year and I had an issue with my laptop that they fixed asap.
