Final Request for Resolution

To Whom It May Concern,

I cannot believe that Dell Technologies has chosen to ignore a long-time, loyal Dell customer over a monitor purchase that I have repeatedly offered to pay for.

As a loyal Dell customer with three Dell computers and two Dell monitors in my office, why would I knowingly enter into a lease for a monitor of this value? It simply makes no sense.

From the beginning, my understanding was that I was purchasing the Dell Pro 27 Plus Video Conferencing Monitor under a 12-month same-as-cash financing arrangement. At no time did I knowingly agree to enter into a lease that would later require a separate buyout payment in order to own the monitor.

I am not asking Dell for a discount. I am not asking Dell for a coupon. I am not asking Dell to waive the purchase price.

I simply want to pay for what I bought.

Instead, I have spent months being passed between Dell Technologies and Dell Financial Services, opening multiple cases and responding to numerous requests, yet no one has been willing to resolve what should have been a straightforward customer service issue.

What has been most disappointing is not that a misunderstanding occurred. What is disappointing is Dell's apparent unwillingness to correct it. That is not the level of customer service I have come to expect from a company whose products I have trusted and purchased for many years.

I have never refused to pay for this monitor. In fact, I have consistently asked to do exactly that. My only request has been to purchase the monitor under the terms I believed I had accepted when I placed the order—not to be treated as though I knowingly entered into a lease agreement.

This email serves as my final request for resolution.

Please allow me to purchase and retain ownership of the monitor without requiring me to accept lease terms that I never intended to enter into. If Dell declines to resolve this matter, please provide a written explanation of that decision so that I may determine my next course of action.

I sincerely hope Dell will choose to retain the goodwill of a loyal customer rather than allow this matter to end on such an unfortunate note.

Respectfully,

Larry Stuart

The question is whether what you signed was a purchase or a lease -- whatever it was, you will be bound by.
