If you're buying for business, you can generally speak to a US sales representative -- or if you have Pro/Gold support on an Optiplex, Precision or Latitude system.

Consumer support (Inspiron/Vostro/most XPS) is offshore -- as is sales.  You may do better buy purchasing from an authorized retailer (Best Buy, etc.).

In my experience, even if you order a computer, you are likely to not receive it for weeks or months. There are many like me with the same issue.

 

The dell support people on this forum want me to stop posting but I can't in good conscience not tell you about my experience attempting to purchase a Dell as well.

 

Good luck buying a computer.

Well, I ordered what I thought I needed.  Who knows.....I will post how long this takes...  My credit card company stopped the order for suspected fraud...lol....at least some company is on top of things...lol...So I will resolve that, should be an easy fix.   Thanks so much for the info.

You seriously might want to take the hint that your credit card company gave you...feels like a good omen...
