Issue with Support Services

Hi,

I bought a laptop Dell Inspiron 13 5310 in December 3, 2021 from the Dell Store on Amazon France. Recently I had an issue with the battery, I looked up the service tag and searched on Dell Support. It showed Issue with Support Services.

I need help to check why my laptop doesn't have the warranty information.

After you purchased from Amazon, did you fill out the "register your product" to get the Service Tag into your name, address, etc.?

Thanks for your support! I haven't done that.

The instruction says that I need to download the Dell SupportAssist to identify my laptop. I can't turn on my laptop due to battery issue. Is there another way to register my laptop without downloading the software ?

Don't use the "Detect PC". Just click Ownership Transfer.

My request was denied with the comment This service tag is not eligible for ownership transfer. Please contact Dell Customer Care for further assistance. Would it help if I contact the customer care ?

Yes, perhaps they can explain why it was denied.

Click the DELL-Cares username. Then look to the right and click, "Send this user a direct message". Provide to them your private Service Tag. Then explain the ownership transfer denial and ask them why.
