Order complete but not shipped
orders my new Alienware on 3-30-22 with an estimated delivery of 4-4 to 4-7. On 4-3 I received an email the order build was complete. A week later the order still has not shipped. I called customer service and they said it has shipped but not cleared customs so no shipping info yet. So a week later still waiting. Anyone else have this happen and have timing in delivery?

If it's a notebook system, bear in mind that these are made in Southeast China -- which has had ongoing COVID-19 lockdowns of late. No one will guarantee a shipping date as a result.
If it's a desktop system, it should take less time, as these are built in Mexico -- but there is still the shortage of shipping capacity that may delay things.

Funny enough today my item actually shipped. I guess it shipped starting April 1 but did not clear customs until today.

I have not received it yet. Fed Ex indicates it still has not been delivered to them.

Hoping for Updated Fex Ex tracking this week. After learning more about the process it seems when my order shipped on 4/11 it may take 10 total days to get to the USA from China via ship. I would expect this to hit land again sometime this week and be delivered next day. I will respond once I see more activity.

It's Sunday April 24th. Fed Ex still has not received my order and Dell tells me it was given to them on April 11th (I was charged this day as well). No one knows where my laptop is. How long must I wait before they rebuild and resend one?

That date is the one when the system left the manufacturer in China -- not the date Fedex received the system.

Thank you for sharing your consent about the order with us here.
Yes, due to the shut down of the warehoused & logistics the orders are held up.
Until the shutdown is lifted we will have to wait. The orders which are built completed & are ready to be shipped can get connected to the logistics.

Update to this issue. I received an email this morning stating the delivery date has been updated to May 5th. I was able to reach customer service yesterday and they verified they did ship the order, however due to port closures in china, my order was being delayed as it is waiting for items in front of mine to be shipped. I believe ports closed mid March and opened in mid April which means I probably have 10 days of backup prior to my order.
The notice from Dell asked me to provide consent to the updated delivery, and had a checkbox to pre approve all future delays. I did not check the pre approval box, but did consent to the one time delay. Hopefully, I will have an update for yall May 5th, or about 10 days.

Don't expect to get it any time soon! This is the same load of bs that Dell is telling me right now, too. My order was placed on 3-30, received a bogus tracking number for FedEx around 4-10 that shows the shipping was cancelled by the sender, and now we are almost at the end of April and Dell is quoting that the delivery date is between 5-5 and 5-6.
If anything, the Dell Customer Support Reps are trained to give the same line to each customer. They are quite good at lying, not going to lie (no pun intended).

Both of our orders are probably in the same batch being shipped! Just reading through your posts and our stories/experience are identical with the same exact dates. How ironic.
The shipping port delay makes sense, but why would Dell risk losing customers who have invested in expensive custom products for the sake ?
Please post an update on whether you get any new information. I just received the alert on my order to "Please review and consent to a new estimated delivery date or your order must be cancelled."
Yet, I do not have a checkbox where I can select that I consent to this delay. I reached out by email to the last Customer Support Rep that I worked with for assistance since I do not want to risk now, after waiting nearly a month on my order, for the order to end up getting cancelled.

Hi,
I'm sorry to hear this.
Could you provide the order and the registered owner name ? I'll have it checked?

So I checked my tracking info as I have for almost every day since getting the info. Today Fed ex says there are two shipments with the same tracking ID. One is still pending. The other one arrived in chicago (the city where my original shipment notification was from) but no other details about the package. It went from Chicago, to Indianapolis, to Minneapolis, to Maple Grove, MN and is now out for delivery. Hoping my laptop comes today. I will let you know.
