Possible scam call about confirmation?

Hello, I recently purchased a Dell 27 Gaming Monitor S2721HGF. 

The next day I receive a call from Dublin asking me to confirm my order by giving them a school or work email???

I ordered with my personal email and I don't see how that would confirm my identity. Also, I do not own either of those emails so instead, the customer service lady asked me to give her my workplace's name. I can't tell if this is a scam or how that helps to prove my identity in any way. my order still hasn't been confirmed and I am worried as the money has already been taken out of my account. 

This feels so unprofessional and I wasn't even warned about a call of any kind. 

Please tell me this is normal and that my order can be processed and shipped as soon as possible.
