Refund sent? Well, not received

First of all, I placed my order on Oct and after I received my laptop I decided to return. That was over 45 days ago and I still haven't receive my refund on my account.

I contacted dell services and financial services, and both parties told me to look for the other for help. On Dec.15th, I was told my refund was going to be posted within 7-10 business days and today I checked, there was nothing and there was a late payment fee of 29 dollars.

I just wonder if this is a trick which Dell played to lurk customers into paying for something that I no longer own or use. At this point I dont know what to do other than waiting and waiting.

Just hope that it won't affect my credit score.

I just checked and the problem still remained. As today is the last day of the week as you mentioned.

UPDATE:

So I received 2 calls from Dell today in total.

The first one came around 1:55 in the afternoon and I was told by the Dell agent that they were still undergoing to work out my case, which was to credit back to my Dell Preferred account. ETA unknown.

I was told multiple times, that it took about a week to receive my money, and now, the time is unknown.

What a great experience! However, the Agent told me to rest assured, I was in a good hand and I should not worry about anything.

Funny, about several hours later, around 6pm, I received another call from Dell.

And this time it was a debt collector. I was asked to pay the money.

I asked her if the call was recorded, and she said yes.

Then after a brief explanation to her, plus I told her I would speak with my lawyer about the matter, she quickly hanged up.

I guess that is my only option now, and so I talked with my lawyer.

Here is the recommendation to me, in case if anyone is having the same issue as I did.

Pay for the minimum amount for now,

The least thing to expect is Dell hurting my credit.

I am feeling bullied, by a world famous brand. For the "debt", I quote from the Dell Debt collector, I do not owe. The product I no longer use or have.

I call this bullying. Wouldn't you agree?

As a customer, I am feeling powerless. However, luckily.
