Refused Refund/damaged laptop
On 9th November i received a damaged top end insprion 2-1 7586 4K touch screen laptop . Everything went smoothly in exchanging photos of damage and a replacement is on request as At that moment I was gutted that I got a laptop with a cracked screen . Over the weekend I’ve been in deep thinking regarding this replacement and now decided that I don’t want the replacement as it’s totally put me off now . Collection is booked for tomorrow for damaged laptop . I live in the uk and I know the UK law . I sent an email today for them to cancel the replacement request and to have a refund on the return of the damaged laptop . I got a reply stating I’m not allowed a refund as there is a replacement request .. I haven’t even had a new order number on my account or anything . It just seems so strange that I can’t see no new order request and they are refusing a refund well within my rights too . This is the email . Dear John, Thank you for contacting Dell Online Customer services. This is in regards to the order # ********, as discusses we have already raised a request for the replacement and the collection team will come and collect the order form you. It is too late we cannot do refund process. Once again, I apologize for any inconvenience or frustration this matter may have caused. If you have any further queries please do not hesitate in responding directly to this mail and I will be glad to assist you further. Kind Regards
