Replacement hard drive for laptop
I called today to order a replacement hard drive for a inspiron laptop and talked to a lady. She quoted a price of 54.99 for 1 TB hard drive plus 19.99 for the recovery software. I told her I was going to think about it and call back if I decided to place order. In about twenty minutes I called back and talked to Aakash and told him about the price that the lady had quoted earlier. He stated that that was not the price and wanted to double the cost of the hard drive. I talked to his supervisor Akshay and he would not honor the price that the first lady stated. I called customer service and talked to someone and he said that they will honor the price just call back. I returned the call this time and talked to Moti and she said they didn't have the hard drive only a refurbished hard drive. The cost of the refurbished unit was 150.00. Not sure what's going on but I am sitting here with a three year old dead laptop that I can't get a hard drive.

**Service Tag Hidden** Three different people and three different prices. I have been a dell customer for maybe 20 years but maybe it’s time for a change. The two men I talked to were rude

Just about any computer store will have a replacement - any standard 2.5" SATA notebook drive that's 7 mm or slimmer will work. So too will any standard 2.5" SSD.
