Virus Phone Call Scam
The scam reported in the 2012 forum is still going on. I get 4-5 phone calls per week telling me to go to Event Viewer and look at stuff and then type in a random URL into my Run box. The first time I started to follow their directions, and, realizing this was a scam, I reset my computer. But it's been happening ever since.
In addition to my name, number, personal info, Dell service tag, express service code, and purchase date, this guy could also tell me MY COMPLAINT HISTORY. He could tell me about the issues I'd had when I had specifically called Dell in the past.
This is ridiculous. The calls come from lots of different numbers from all different locations. Worse, they often now come from a hidden Private number!
I was already excessively disappointed in Dell's customer service as they've repeatedly failed to address my computer's issue, and then for the past 9+ months I've been receiving these scam calls.
Needless to say, I don't see any purchases from Dell in my future. In fact, I'll enjoy telling every person I can how awful my experience has been.

Read this and follow the link to submit your details to Dell for investigation.
Lots of us are getting those scam calls. So best just to hang up...

I was called by one of these for a computer we no longer had anymore and let him toy around on a VMWare virtual machine. All he does is run "dir" and go to a bunch of weird sites and try to tell me my Event Viewer errors were all viruses, as well as the "dir" was his "tools" running to diagnose my problem. He then proceeded to lock the virtual machine at startup and then reboot. We then got into a yelling match and started slinging insults like there was no tomorrow. During when he was setting the password, I watched the activity on a virtual keyboard in VMWare and as soon as he tried to be all "ha ha ha I locked your PC" I logged right back in, and he, completely dumbfounded, disconnected before literally cursing at me.
It was a ton of fun.

I am getting several abusive calls per day from 800 433-2392.
I mess around with them, but I did tell them I have several Dell PCs and which one was it, they provided all the tag 3's I have in my account, So I am now convinced these are indeed Dell employees pulling this scam from a back room.
If Dell management is not involved then they are culpable for turning a blind eye, this I am now assured of. So much so I just filed a complaint with the states AG.
This will be the last time I deal with Dell, they know this is going on! No 2 ways about it now.

I had multiple calls from Cuba. I found number and checked here https://areaphonecodes.com/cuba/ I answered on one calls but person did not talk anything. At result I blocked that number in my phone.
