Hi

I urgently need to find out what is happening with the delivery of my Ultrabook, ETA was yesterday but Walsh Western so called tracking system has not been updated since the 1st

upon further investigation it seems that the shipping address was incorrect, so i have emailed Dell to advise correct shipping address, but when will this get updated and why was there no notification to say that address was incorrect, I had to chase myself. A phone call would have sufficed.

Anyway can anyone help from Dell with an update please

Rich

Still haven't received my laptop even though the delivery status is shipped and should have been with me 3 days ago. The delivery company Walsh Western seem to be causing a lot of problems with other customers....this is worrying me and I am not sure what to do as you cannot contact the delivery company direct??? Not very reassuring....now I have to wait until Monday. Not impressed with this service!

I agree! I too haven't got my delivery. Why are Dell using this substandard courier? As soon as you google Walsh Western all you find are customers complaining about their experience with this company. The tracking information is poor and there is no way of contacting the company, that I can find. I had another dell laptop delivered last week from UPS and I couldn't fault it.

Why don't they take note of these complaints??? there are enough of them.  What I found really bad is that there is no link from any page if you have delivery concerns. Why can't they set up a system like other companies do, so that you are directed through to a procedure that would sort out the problem. Amazon are a perfect example of this....take note Dell (if anyone from Dell bothers to read this forum)

That doesn't seem to work either. 'Problem - loading params failed'. The link provided, Musicmich, was to Syncreon (???) which also contains no information! I am dreading unravelling a delivery date with Walsh Western.

Hello,

The shipping link provided goes to a blank screen in Walsh & Westerns web site.

I can't find out any shipping information.

Why is your shipper providing this sub standard service and how do I find when it's going to be delivered?

Regards

A

Hi Roshan,

It's good to see someone at Dell appears to have some interest in customer issues.

My story...

I ordered an XPS high-end laptop last week and have become entangled in the Walsh Western pantomime that many of your customers find themselves.  Checking the internet posts this has been going on for years.  Shame on Dell that you can't sort out basic fulfilment which is such an important part of modern life.

I received an email last Friday (5th April) advising me that my laptop had shipped and providing a link to the Walsh Western tracking site.

Sure enough it was there and an ETA of 9th April.  This was still the case on the evening of the 8th April, so I took the 9th off work to ensure I was at home to receive it.

9th April and the ETA is still the 9th.

By 1600 on the 9th I became concerned that nothing had turned up.  Rang Walsh Western (premium rate).  Initial response was that yes it was going to be delivered and I should be patient.  Pressing a bit further and they then established that they hadn't received the item from Dell yet!  I should contact Dell.

I rang Dell and again the message was 'be patient it will arrive'.  When I said that it hadn't been sent from Dell yet I was held on the line for 15 minutes (again premium line) and finally advised that there was a parts shortage and the laptop was stuck in manufacture.  I was given a case number and assured that someone would get back to me shortly.  Needless to say that call didn't come.

So, I've bought a top of the range laptop, I've upgraded to the 3 year NBD warranty and effectively done everything that Dell could wish.

In return I've paid my money, been at best misinformed and down a days pay and potentially another when it does turn up.

Sadly when I researched this on the web the complaints go back to 2006 and the story seems very familiar over the years.

Can you help?  I will PM my customer number etc.  Your assistance would be greatly appreciated

Laurie
