CIFS configuration

Hello

I want to CIFS settings using the DataDomain.

  # I'm going to use the DDOS 5.4.

I want to CIFS share to clients of the segment of 192.168.0.0/24.

Can I be this setting?

Or, would I have to set it for each client?

Thank you.

    CIFS access is granted to user/group accounts, not to subnets (something you do with NFS)

    You can filter by clients and users

    Clients --> Hostnames or IP´s

    For achieving what you want you should stop SMB traffic with a firewall, so all the traffic coming from 192.168.0.0/24, with destination the DDR, is stopped.

    Regards.

    yeah, that will be a nightmare to manage for any decent size organization.

    Were you able to add a subnet to your cifs share ?

    I need to open my share to a subnet too large for individual IP's

    All of our shares are host based ACL's not user or group.
