Data Domain Cleaning Process
Hello,
So according to admin guide it is not good practice to run cleaning process on a daily basis due to data getting fragmented.
Question, during the cleaning process does DD run a defragmentation cycle or is there a manual option from DD mgmt console to run a defrag cycle? I have had to run the cleaning process three times in the past 5days to free up space and i'm a concerned about my data getting fragmented.

I would be more worried about performance impact (which is not so bad, but I can't say how it is once you hit high disk usage values). I would never use any product which would get utilized more than 80% - in my view, you should extend DD with more disks or simply move some low deduped content to different media (like tape).
