DD VE Streams

I don't see DD VE stream count documented anywhere.  I looked it up on my technical preview install.  Being it has 6GB of ram it makes sense that the stream count is similar to a DD160.  Does the stream count go up in DD VE if the ram is increased?

DD VE Streams (.5TB disk - 6GB Ram)

read=4

write=16

rep-in=20

repl-out=18

combined=16

We recommend using 16 backup streams (write) with DD VE 2.0. That will give you optimal performance.

Having also done Eval on DDVE, 16 stream limit is biggest limiting factor for us, and we'll probably never use it if no room to go higher.  We were considering for smallish protected environments to couple these with single node Avamar's and a handful of RMAN backups on a nightly window with replication.  Say roughly 20-50 clients.  Granted we could try to balance schedules and load but 16 still is just too low and too fine a line to mess around with.  Couple that with replication that we're used to pushing entire grids at once, and Avamar likes to default use 6 streams per each client replicating.  A single repl policy group capped at 8 clients will exceed what DDVE can do quickly without careful balancing and adding parameters.  Would like to see 45-60 for the 16TB DDVE if possible.
