DD2500 System Refresh - How to move data?

Hi,

I'm working on a DD2500 pair that is being replicated with MTree replication. Since the DD2500 is not a data less head, I need to move the data to the new DD6300's. I know I can do a collection replication between the systems, but I want to iron out the specifics of moving the data and see if this is the best way.

I was going to set up a collection replication in the source site and then the same in the DR site. Then, I was going to swap identities in the DR site first, and then the production site from the DD2500 to the DD6300. Can the data just be swapped like that in the DR site and replication start back up again? Or will all the data need to be sent again?

Also, I read in another post there is a System Migration option that will move the data and the identity of the DD2500 to the new DD. Is this possible? I can't find any documentation on this procedure if it does exist, so I wanted to see if this was an option as well. Thanks for any help that you may be able to provide.
