PowerProtect DD Monthly Support Highlights February 2024

PowerProtect DD Security Advisory DSA-2023-412

Multiple security vulnerabilities were identified that affect PowerProtect DD, DDVE, DLM, PowerProtect DP Series/IDPA appliance, and DM5500.

DSA-2023-412 for PowerProtect Data Domain was released on 12/13/23 with the latest DDOS security update to address vulnerabilities affecting all DDOS releases. For risk mitigation we recommend upgrading immediately.

• PowerProtect DD: Upgrade to DDOS Releases 7.13.0.20, 7.10.1.20, 7.7.5.30, or 6.2.1.110 (now EOSS)
• PowerProtect DP Series/IDPA appliance: Upgrade to PowerProtect DP 2.7.6 Note: If you utilize PowerProtect DD/DP/IDPA as part of other solutions the above recommendations would still apply.
  
• Due to security hardening on the latest DDOS versions 7.7.5.25, 7.10.1.15, 7.13.0.10, 6.2.1.110 and above, SE mode has been deprecated. For future releases, additional commands will be made available to assist with troubleshooting
