Data Protected Report

I am wondering if anyone knows how to create a Data Protected Report for Avamar that would show the amount of data protected on a physical server backed up by Avamar?  I have looked at the Estimated Protected Backup Capacity reports and the problem with them is that they double up due to the File System and VSS plugins.  I would like a report that shows me the amount of data on the server. What would be really nice is if I were to create a chargeback policy that would be based on the amount of data on the server.  DPA version 6.2.1 build 95149 and Avamar 7.1.1-145

Hi,

Based on your description, you may be able to customize the Estimated Protected Capacity reports. So am I correct in thinking that the customer is actually backing up the same data twice, once through filesystem backups and once through VSS plugin backups?  If so are the sizes the same for each one in the jobs reports? Assuming they are, you could customize the Estimated Protected Capacity reports to do an extra Group By operator on the data after the initial data source, where it groups by Client only and not Client and Job, and choose the Max number behavior. That way if a client has 2 entries (one for the filesystem backup, and one for the VSS plugin), it will group them into a single row and will just take the biggest size and not double count them.
