List hosts per Agent

Community,

While scouring the Internet and manuals for my answer, I figured I should drop a question here as you guys may have the answer readily available.  I am migrating 100+ Avamar grids into a new DPA instance (6.1.2) and have several data collection agents deployed.  I want to make sure that they are somewhat balanced as we proceed, beginning at the high level number of grids per agent.  I figure from there, if necessary, I can move grids to different or additional agents if necessary for performance.  Problem is, I can't find any place where I can see which grids are configured for each agent.  I could use a count or a list of grids, any information at an agent level would be a huge help.  Any ideas?

Mark

Hello Mark,

It is being difficult to know previously which objects a particular agent has being monitoring. In the 6.2 ( you can participate in the Directed Availability Program) version there is a new feature "Object Search" that have and "Agent" box. Clicking on that box  will open a list (Select Data Collection Agent) which let you select any agent and the display will show all the objects which are being monitoring by this agents.

Kind Regards,

Liliana

I have a Windows installation of DPA and looking on one of the servers that's running my Avamar agents, I found a listing of the grid names under \DPA\agent\data.

There's a number of data files under there with associated names for looking at status, etc. You'd have to parse that info out somehow (script?) but, it's there.
