Hi, Alemonti, there is no issue with your dell core i5 laptop. Just you have to do fresh window and clean the laptop from virus through window antivirus or by installing any antivrus. You will get all your pictures in the same mode as it was before.
I this case I will prefer to store my pictures/videos or any thing on cloud storage like Google Drive or an external hard drive to prevent data loss and ensure easy access.
