Dell Mobile Connect Bluetooth Connection Failure

I have an Iphone 11 Pro Max, with a Dell Inspiron 15 5000 Series -5593 ... Dell Mobile Connect keeps reporting the error below, even though I do not turn bluetooth off. All drivers and apps have been updated on both the laptop and the Iphone... The laptop is basically brand new... The error keeps recurring after multiple reboots.

Maybe this will help some people-- I found this crucial step was not immediately evident for the reinstall of the new connect app:  Notifications needs to be toggled ON, access in YOUR phone Settings>Bluetooth > (Device) Connected> tap on the circled i to access the toggle.  HTH

If you're facing the issue where Dell Mobile Connect says "Connecting, please wait...", update the video card might be the solution.

That fixed the problem for a user in this thread.

I am having the same issue with Alienware mobile connect on my Alienware 17 R5.

I keep getting the message:

Alienware Mobile Connect requires an active Bluetooth connection. Please allow us to turn on Bluetooh.

I choose yes of course and the next message box says:

Could not enable Bluetooth. Please restart your PC and try again.

I was able to use this app just fine, but after an update I was no longer able to get past this initial set-up.

I finally found a SOLUTION!
Until recently, I was happy with the Dell Mobile Connect application that I mostly used to read and write SMS. After upgrading from iOS 13 to iOS14, the application kept disconnecting - several  times per minute - from the iPhone. (it seems that at every disconnection, the Windows application was closed, then re-launched immediately, leading to  multiple instances of its icon in system tray). I basically experienced all issues described in this forum, but could not find any workaround.
After totally unpairing the system – both on iPhone side and on the Dell XPS side – I launched the Mobile Connect application on the PC, then re-established the connection with the iPhone again, and realized that it worked fine… when and IF the Mobile Connect app is NOT LAUNCHED on the iPhone. I can, again use the PC to read/write text messages and make a phone call (just as though the necessary software algorithms are built-in the iOS14 itself?!) However, I cannot access the “File” (for Photos and Videos), and “Mirror” functions on the Mobile Connect application, as the system asks for the app to be started on the iPhone.
I’m very happy I found this workaround by chance, and am curious to hear whether it works for you too! (let me know…)

Hello,

take a look at my solution, below...

March 21st, 2021 11:00

I have the same issues. I restarted the laptop and my phone one thousand times. It typically worked and restarted the app fine. Since a new Windows update this March 2021 my HP Printer and my Dell Mobile Connect never worked. After a week of fighting with troubleshooting I am able to print by connecting A CABLE! terrible! and my bluetooth/Mobile Connect NEVER WORKED AGAIN. I get the same error message every time about "trying to finish the previous bluetooth connection" and that "it failed to conenct" the iphone 11pro is paired but it never connects anymore. PLEASE HELP. DELL AND WINDOWS fix your issues and communicate them! STAT.

I have the same problem, but it's on my Alienware M15 R3. The software is Alienware Mobile Connect and I'm trying to connect it to my iPhone X.

Did anyone get this fixed? I'm still having this problem but on an Alienware Aurora 11.

normally on these pages, an Alienware employee or someone posts the solution to this problem, but I don’t see anything like that.
