BIOS/Firmware revision report
Hi,
We have a mixture of PowerEdge Servers plus PowerMax Storage. Is it possible in OpenManage to create a report that will tell me all of the BIOS/firmware revisions found in any of this kit, including storage controllers, disks themselves, NICs, iDRAC etc. etc.
And more importantly, compare to the latest available. At this stage I don't have a requirement to bulk update anything.
This infrastructure is approaching 200 bits of kit, just Servers and Storage.
Thanks very much

Take a look to the default "Firmware Compliance per Component" Report. It already contains what you requested (i cant speak for Powermax but server looks very good). It will display current version and available as well as the compliance status.

I am new to OM, but liked it so far. I have large number of R630,720 & R730s. Want to upgrade to latest and greatest firmware/BIOS. But it fails every time I try "Compliance". And the reason seems to be that the current firmware/BIOS is too old and OM tries to install the latest and it fails.
Even if I try manually, I see the same issue. I have to try in between versions before upgrading to latest version.
Do anyone has an easy solution?
TIA.

Hi, thanks for choosing Dell. As discussed with a senior engineer, please open a ticket in tech support for remote session, they will show you the way. Wish you a good one.
