Creating New Deploy Template Using Reference Device Fails
Using OM Enterprise Tech Release, I attempt to create a new Config template using a brand new PowerEdge T430 as a reference server. The server is fully licensed for OpenManage which came pre-installed from the factory. OME discovered the device, says it's online and healthy, but every time I create the new template it starts to run then immediately fails. I don't see any way to get more details about why it failed to troubleshoot.
I'm relatively new to the Dell ecosystem so perhaps there's something else I need to do on the reference server itself to prepare it? Any help/guidance is appreciated.

Hi and thanks for the post.
There is a FAQ on www.delltechcenter.com/oment
in 7.1 there is a tip regarding the SMB v1 setting. This might help. Let me know how it goes.

Great. Yes, new f/w for SMB should be available to you *very* soon. Keep an eye on support.dell.com, etc. for new firmware for this.

Yep, that did the trick. Thanks! Although I'm not thrilled about having to enable SMB v1 (the appliance default is disabled which is great). Does anyone know if/when the Gen13 iDRAC would be updated to support higher, more secure, versions of SMB?
