Importing Active Directory Users
Hi I am trying to set up active directory user login's in my openmanage enterprise instance. I have managed to set up the AD directory type under Directory Services and this tests successfully (I set this up using the IP and not FQDN as advised to on these forums).
If I then go to import directory users and use the same credentials I can see some active directory groups (Admittedly not all of them, for some reason this is limited to 40 search results and the search often says no results were found when I can see the group name in the list). If I choose one of the groups, and add it as an Administrator role, it adds the group under users (it doesn't seem to import the active directory users). If I then attempt to edit the group, it shows the group name as a username and I have options to edit the password (as if it thinks the group is actually a single user).
I've tried using groups of different types (domain local, universal, security and distribution), to no avail, and when I attempt to log in with any users from these groups I get an invalid credentials error. The usernames I originally tried had hyphens in, but I have since tried accounts with no special characters that show the same issues.
Any Ideas?

As a further detail, looking at the audit logs I have entries showing the following
Successfully imported the new directory user
So it looks like openmanage is importing new groups as users, instead of the users in the groups themselves.

Thanks for the post.
We may need you to call support so we can open a ticket and dig into it a bit more.
I think it's probably not clear enough in OM Enterprise that it is importing groups, and not users.
But it may be something else entirely.
Thanks,
Rob

I'll put the phone number here, but I need to enter it in a goofy format since this forum software strips out a lot of numbers.

Hi Rob,
Do you have a number or support method for the UK?
Thanks

I think this should give you a UK number. Use the general PowerEdge support and provide the service tag.
