Migration to v4 issue
Hello,
I want to migrate to OME v4 from a 3.10.2 version
I managed to complete the first steps of the process on the v3 appliance but on the v4 appliance (destination) step 3 is stucked :
Step 3: Check For Migration Readiness (import)
Impossible to go further... Is there a solution to unblock this migration readiness step ?

Ok I think i found a clue in the user's guide :
Ensure that the appliance has connectivity to an OpenManage Enterprise update repository before starting the Migrate In operation otherwise the Update Readiness report may stop responding.
So I think internet connection is mandatory...

Yes I confirm that in this case you need an internet connection

Hello,
Try rebooting vCenter will fix this issue.
If that doesn't help you will have to Unregister it in OME and Re-Register it with vCenter

Hello thanks for choosing Dell.
OpenManage Enterprise 3.10.x to 4.0 Migration | Dell US
This has all the steps and a video to follow. This may help.
One question I may have for you is if you use proxy? Then see the release notes here.

Thank you and have a great one!

Hello,
I followed all the steps and the Migration readiness step does not work.
I don't use any proxy. The source appliance is connected to internet but the destination appliance is not.
Is the Migration readiness step needs an internet connection ? I don't think so...

Ok the readiness report is working with internet connexion on the destination appliance (v4)
Now I have another problem
The v4 appliance say that source appliance is not ready (not in MAINTENANCE state) but the source appliance is in maintenance mode...
Guys, you're migration procedure is NOT working well...

It's ok, it took a long time to detect the maintenance state of the source appliance...

I have another issue, I use OMEVV plugin with VMware vCenter, the destination appliance had a temporary IP for the migration process.
After the migration I had to stop the old appliance and apply the IP of the v3 appliance to the v4 appliance.
But the OMEVV plugin on the vCenter kept the old temporary IP. How to modify it ?

Ok thank you, I applied the 2nd solution before I saw you answer... Not the best because I had to reconfigure my baselines etc...
I think if the vCenter reboot works, it's a better solution.
