OMEv4 - FX2s and CIFS (V2)
Hello,
With OMEv3, for our FX2s chassis configuration compliance we have always had to use CIFS V1. I see that V1 has been removed with OMEv4 and chassis configuration inventory fails with:
Job Failed with MsgID: CMC0015
PrintProfileCountError: Method IsProfileCountAllowed failed message(s): Unable to access network share
Looking at the support matrix we should still be able to manage device configurations and deployment for FX2s. We're current on CMC firmware which hasn't changed since 2021.
Has anyone been able to use CIFS (V2) with FX2s chassis?

@DELL-Young E, thanks for confirming what we're seeing.
I will reach out to support to see if anything can be done from the firmware aspect. Is there any possibility of adding CIFS V1 back to OMEv4 for users in our situation (with an understanding/warning of the security risk)?

Hello,
CMC-1234ABC $ racadm config -g cfgRacTuning -o cfgRacTuneSMBVersionEnable 2
Object value modified successfully
CMC-1234ABC $ racadm getconfig -g cfgRacTuning -o cfgRacTuneSMBVersionEnable
SMBv2
Those commands run on the chassis themselves, can enable SMB V2 or 3.
Very highly unlikely OME will go back to support V1, I'm afraid.
