OpenManage Enterprise 3.5 issues with e-mail alerts
We've just deployed the VM in our environment and I'm doing some initial setup and testing. I have verified that my e-mail settings on OME and in our environment are correct by successfully e-mailing myself some reports.
I've set up an alert policy for All Categories, on All Targets, to start today at 12AM with no end, for All Severities, with the Action set to e-mail me with the same Subject and Message settings as we use in OpenManage Essentials. So it should work.
If I send a test SNMP event via one of our chassis CMCs or server iDRACs, OpenManage Enterprise receives and logs it successfully, but I do not get an e-mail. Neither did I get an e-mail when I ran a warranty check and it found some expired warranties, even though it triggered a Critical alert in the log. I would hope that even if the test events don't trigger the alert policy, the expired warranties would. So it doesn't appear to be working at all.
It seems e-mail alerts have been problematic in OpenManage Enterprise for a while. When are these issues going to be fixed permanently? I'm loathe to move over from OpenManage Essentials if we're going to have continual problems with Enterprise.

Hi,
I'm the same person who replied to you on https://dell.to/3nXeSie. Probably you could look into calling the phone support to get the configuration checked.
Let me know how it goes.

I had another look and decided to default my alert configuration to see if that was the problem. It was - evidently the OME config won't work in OMEnt. So now at least my alerts are working again.
