SupportAssist Plugin - Support for Multiple Geographical Sites?

Got the SupportAssist (Version: 1.1.0.494) plugin configured, but it only gives me two shipping contacts and one shipping address.  I have 180+ devices spread out over 8 physical sites across the country.  How do I add additional sites and how do I associate specific servers with those sites?

Also, why aren't VXRail and VSAN devices considered managed devices?

Hello,

I wanted to make sure to post that your questions were seen. I don't have an answer for you at the moment, but I am looking into it. I should be able to get back to you on Monday or Tuesday, if that works.

Sorry I missed your other question. The VXRail isn't supported by the Plugin yet.

xpkranger2,
SupportAssist supports putting devices in groups, so I would assign them by geographical location or something, and then you can assign a shipping address for each group.

Let me know if this helps.

Does support assist plugin works as expected?

We have it enabled, but it didn't open a support case for server with ProSupport contract. What is strange. Previous solution worked well.

And test case creation result is not clear. Case creation has status "Validated", but no confirmation from DELL's side.

yes, we had failed disk in server with active ProSupport.

SupportAssist plugin didn't open case for DELL support.

Device was listed in "managed devices" in SupportAssist. Any additional steps after enabling this plugin are obligatory?  I mean, should we first have created groups under  "Plugin Groups - SupportAssist" and add there all devices or enabling plugin is enough?

Hello @almarchuk,

The status "validated" confirms the communication is good. But it wont open a new case as it is a test.

Are you having real alarms not opening cases?

Regards.

Hello again @almarchuk,

This failed disk error was already present when SupportAssist was installed? Or the error appeared some time later SupportAssist installation?

So, if that error appeared after SupportAssist installation that could mean either SupportAssist is not correctly installed/configurated/registered or there is a problem with SupportAssist on that server.

What is the server model? And which OS does it have installed? Are you using the iDRAC 9 integrated SupportAssist? What version of SupportAssist Enterprise are you using?

Regards.

The error appeared some time later SupportAssist installation.

What is the server model? PowerEdge R640

And which OS does it have installed? Linux.

Are you using the iDRAC 9 integrated SupportAssist? Do you mean ISM? No. Previous version, which worked independently from OpenManage Essentials, didn't require ISM configured and worked well.

What version of SupportAssist Enterprise are you using? Version 3.6.0 (Build 41)
