All Server Statuses Changed the ?

When I first installed OPen Manage Essentials, it was polling hardware status correctly.  It is now listing all servers as a purple question mark status.  No changes have been made that I am aware of.  Is there a log that can show me if OME is running into issues?

Thanks

Hi,

There should be two "DSM Essentials..." services running.  Can you check in services.msc to be sure they are up?  You may try to restart them and see if your status show up again.

Thanks,

Rob

Where is the troubleshooting tool located?  I would like to run it, but can't seem to find it.

DSM Essentials Services were all restarted.  Still no new info.  I can succesfully launch the Server Administrator pages from OME, but for some reason, OME can't pull the data in directly.

Ok, let's see here...we'll need to check some basics.  I know you had this set up ok, but let's double check.

1. Run the troubleshooting tool from the desktop or OME and use one of the IP addresses of the questionable servers.  Assuming you are using SNMP, it should return the version of OMSA on the box when it runs a good test.

2. I think you probably already did this.  But right click on a server and select Refresh Status.

3. Are you just discovering a regular server via SNMP or something like the iDrac via IPMI or some other protocol combination?

Thanks,

Rob

A few places.

1. It should be installed by default on the desktop where you installed OME.

2. Or you can go to Prefs in OME and enable the TS tool checkbox.

3. Once you do step #2, you can right click on a server in the device tree and run TS or hit the TS icon on the right side of the "Tools" menu in OME (it is a wrench icon)
