Verify each credential type username/password is set for your devices under Profile > Troubleshooting features

What version of DSET is it running?   Start > Program Files > DSET 3.3?

Usually the DSA logs will display a failure code like -1, -6,.  -6 has to do with either the username/password or the IP address is not reachable.  Can you check to see what errors are displayed in the following file?

C:\Program Files (x86)\Dell\Dell Integrated Support\logs\log-file.txt

Is there an SR# on the GUI for the failed DSET

Hi Paul,

Sorry, I'm not clear.  I don't think there is any relationship between DSA and the Dell Troubleshooting tool.  Can you provide more context.  I think I'm missing a key point.

Thanks!

Dell Support Assist will install the correct version of DSET.

You can verify if DSET is installed on the Host Machine by select Start > Programs > DSET 3.x?

The following link is the community page which has some videos for setup and configuring which could be helpful

en.community.dell.com/.../default.aspx

From my understanding you’ve done the following?

1. Discovered the linux devices via OME

2. Generated an alert which OME picked up and sent to the DSA plugin?

3. Viewed the failed message on the DSA GUI?

If so, did you check the log for failed DSET error codes?

C:\Program Files (x86)\Dell\Dell Integrated Support\logs\log-file.txt

Good Morning,

The systems are all linux based and I have checked the creditials. However, I have not pre installed any Dset software could this be the case? Is there a setup guide for the Support Assistant to ensure I have made all the correct configuration changes to our environment.

Did you change the install location?

If you open your registry and go to key

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Dell, is there a Dell Integrated Support directory and if so, what is the Install Dir.

I am happy I was able to assist you and get the issue resolved.

Your question about “multiple username and password for the different OS version”

I believe the next release of SupportAssist will have the ability to add credentials for each device.

For example,

If Customer has 10 devices discovered.  The user can add a different credential for each device on the DSA devices tab.

No Events found!
