We looked at this issue and it was not reproducible consistently. We are continuing our investigation for this so that it can be fixed in the future version. For now as you mentioned, you can delete the entry from DeviceGroup table.
Can you look into UI logs (Tools->UI Logs) and check if you see any error/warning message?

There are no errors and warnings in UI logs. Do you know when is new version is coming out?

Hi,
We couldn't reproduce this in our labs. We can delete a group and create a new one with the same name even with 1.0.1.
Having said this, we have made improvements in the logic around device groups and deletion in the new release and most likely it will fix this issue.
