EMC CX3 SAN bogus alerts

Ever since we've added our EMC CX3 SANs to OpenManage we've been receiving critical/warnings on a pretty regular basis (both SANs at the same time - they're in different physical locations). It will start with a Fault - Cache Disabling then a Critical Disk Array Enclosure is faulted and then The Storage system has disabled write cache. The other SAN then reports Storage Array Faulted a few times. I've checked the actual arrays and there are no error messages at all. We do have email alerting configured on the SANs and I know that works. I'm just curious as to what is happening to cause these bogus messages?

Hi, thanks for the query.

Is your query in reference with OpenManage Server Administrator or OpenManage Essentials product?

This forum is more about Dell OpenManage Essentials product. I would request you to cross post this query in systems management general forum below to attract the attention of Server Administrator product specific members if necessary.

Thanks for clarifying.

OME will continue to receive whatever alerts particular target is sending. And, in addition to that it will recompute the global heath of the target after alert reception.

As this is target specific behavior, I would request you to cross post this query on Storage forum below to attract attention of experts in that domain.

This has been answered over on the Storage forum. The answer was basically not to use Open Manage for this system type.
