Can you check to see if did a re-discover or re-inventory? The reason I ask is that the firmware information is retrieved as part of the discovery process. Software inventory is retrieved as part of the inventory process.
A reboot won't help in this case. The inventory automatically re-runs after about a 20 minute delay after patching. But you can manually re-run discovery and inventory to check.
