Non-Inventoried Systems

I have 1 odd server that keeps showing up in the Non-Inventoried Systems. Its a Windows 2003 server, no firewall, same IP subnet as our Essentials server, the server is online and available, OMSA 6.5 is installed and fully functional, and I do not see any failures in the event logs at all on this server.

Any suggestions

Hi Ron,

Double check FAQ 3.6.

Also, when you run the Dell Troubleshooting tool (installed on your desktop), what value does the SNMP test (or WMI, depending on what you are using) return?

Thanks,

Rob

Ok, so you say TS is correct.  So what does it say when the SNMP test returns...exactly?

And, on the inventory for the server you are checking, you should see an "Inventory Agent" under the Agent Table.  Do you see this?

Can you compare what it looks like against servers that are working?

For me it looks like below:

Agent Global Status Agent Name Agent Version Agent Description Agent Manufacturer

Warning Server Administrator 6.5.0 Management software for Dell systems. Dell Inc.

Warning Server Administrator (Storage Management) 3.5.0 Configuration and monitoring of disk storage devices. Dell Inc.

Normal Inventory Collector Agent 6.5.0 Provides information about devices running on the local system Dell Inc.

This is an odd one....

Troubleshooter shows SNMP and WMI information properly. The server shows up in inventory as On and everything is populated and correct, also shows the date stamp of when it was inventoried under the Devices tab. When you go to the System Update tab it shows up and Non-Inventoried System.
