Problem installing OMSA 8.0.1

Question

Hello,

I'm trying to install OMSA 8.0.1 x64 on a R720xd with Windows 2008 R2 running OMSA 7.4.0. I receive this error message: "This is not a supported server. Dell OpenManage Systems Management Software (64-Bit) software can only be installed on supported servers."

I was able to install 8.0.1 on a R630 with same setup (Win 2008 R2 + OMSA 7.4.0).

I hope Dell is planning on continuing to maintain the 7.x series of OMSA.  The support matrix for 8.0 is very limited both in terms of systems and operating systems.

OMSA 8.1 was released in April 2015 and the list of Compatible Systems is much larger than we saw with 7.1 and 8.0. So, it looks like Dell is headed in the right direction again.
