System Down Alert When Performing Discovery Scan

Every night I have a discovery scan set to run at 23:00 (with the speed turned down from default setting).  Whenevr this discovery scan runs I get system down alerts from 2 of the servers in the range covered by the discovery scan.

This is OME 1.1, how can I stop this from happening?

Thanks

Andy

Yep, and a few other comments.

If you are getting false alerts, you can try increasing the ICMP timeout in the discovery wizard and move the status poll slider all the way to the left. Both of these have helped customers reduce/get rid of false system down alerts.

Finally, if you have one or two systems that are maybe prone to have suspect connections, you can right click and ignore the alert.  That will create an ignore filter.

Thanks,

Rob

Andy,

System up and down alerts cannot be turned off. These are alerts generated internally by OME during discovery/inventory/status poll when the connection to the managed device is lost/restored.
