EIDE CD-RW Controller

Question

I bought my Dimension 4100 some years ago with EIDE CD-RW Drive to write on CDs. Adaptec Easy CD Creator and Adaptec Direct CD was included. Now I changed to Windows XP. Unfortunately, I cannot use my EIDE CD drive any more. Is there a new software available that can be used with Windows XP?   Please help me. Installing the old software brings my DELL computer into trouble. So I deinstalled it quickly again.   Thank you for your help.

You may want to ask under 'TechTalk' -> 'Dimension' -> 'CD/DVD Devices'. But if you go to your local computer store, they should offer CD burning software that'll work with Windows XP. Adaptec sold the CD Creator software to Roxio (or it was a spin-off from Adaptec (not exactly sure), so if you want the newer version of CD Creator, look for it under the Roxio company name.
