PowerPath doesn't like Red Hat 4.7 kernel

Hello,

I upgrated a Red Hat 4.6 installation to the 4.7 version and PowerPath is not working anymore, when I start the service, there's a kernel dump and I have to reset it.

I'm using a Clariion CX3-10c and a PowerEdge 1000e blade enclosure with M600 blade servers.

The workaround is to avoid using the 2.6.9-78 kernel isued  with the 4.7 update and to stick to the previous working version of the kernel.

Cheers,

Before upgrading to any newer kernel (or applying a service pack (for SLES or Windows)) always go to EMC's support matrix and check if EMC has validated it yet, and check what other updates may be needed to use this newer kernel (HBA driver, HBA firmware, and Powerpath version).
