Pertelian X2040 ForeSight Systems LCD information Display
Dell 944 AIO Printer
EASYWATCH LCD System Monitor /Fan Controller
I have a partition 6 G.B in size that's empty, and I was hoping without having to purchase Partition Majic, I could add it to the main partition holding my O/S using the cmd/diskpart ? The partiton most likley held the factory restore ,howevr I already have performed a frsh re-install of the O/S and could not use the factory restore due to a lost administrator password ! THe reason its empty is becasue I deleted whatever information was on it . I now have a 320G.B. externial H.D. USB to back up my entire internial drive and all my information. I have one other very small partiton thats B/4 the O/S partiton the 6 G.B. empty partiton is located after the O/S partiton ! Anyone that can walk me thru this or has any suggestions it would be greatly appreciated !

yeah you can use an old dos utility called Fdisk. or Windows setup to do it. sadly you have to wipe the partitions to set it back right. Which means reinstalling Windows.

Thank you for replying to my ? ,however I would rather scrafice the 6 G.B. then go thru all of the re-installing . Since I have a 250G.B. internial H.D. and a 320G.B. externial I can live without the 6 G.B. ! Just thought it would be nice to add it to a working partition that my O/S is on . I can still use it to store video's ,music ,etc ! So that brings up a new ? would this partition ned to be formatted since its empty or is it good to go ? Any way to check on the status as of now is in dsk management its listed as empty space and green in color around it ?
Thank You ,Nick
