ASFAgent CPU Issues
Hope someone can help here. I have a workstation 350, in my processes in task manager, there is an
"ASFAgent.exe" The CPU has been jumping from 0, to 80 CPU. It cycles every five seconds or so.
I found this file in C:\Program Files\Intel\ASFAgent
Can someone tell me what this is? Do I need this process? How can I get it to stop killing my CPU ?
Thanks

I found this running on our new Precision 650 systems and after finding zero documentation, proceeded to click
Start, Run, Services.msc, ok
and set the ASF Agent service to Disabled mode
so far, there has been no adverse consequence and there are no errors on the couple test systems where this is disabled
perhaps someone from Dell will advise why this is installed?
the full path of the application is
C:\Program Files\Intel\ASF Agent\ASFAgent.exe
