Computer systems seem to be a pretty standard size. It is a CR2032 and can be purchased at most jewerly/watch/electronic stores. Radio Shack has them too for about $2.00 each.
They are similar to watch batteries but a bigger.

OK I kinda figure that was the case how sure are you about the CR2032 for batt. type? and anyone have a link on the instalation intrution for a dell dimm.4500 dont know how to find out type of Motherboard
The CR2032 coin battery has been standard in computer systems since I got into the game 10 years ago. I haven't seen any other type of bios backup battery on motherboards, at least in PC's. Couldn't say the same for Macs/Apples though.
I did verify through the links provided by Bev that the backup battery in the 4500 is indeed the CR2032 coin style battery.
