Chirping sound

For the past 2 days I have had this bird-like chirping sound, no matter what site I'm on it chirps. Don't even begin to know where to start looking, any help would be great.

nada0946,

What model monitor do you have? There have been a few sporadic complaints regarding some Trinitron monitors (P792 & P992). The remedy is to change the refresh rate from 60hrz to 85hrz.

Ran 2 virus scans in the past 2 days, came back clean both times. Just deleted a program I installed just before this started, will see if it was the cause.

Thanks for the help

nada0946,

In that case, it's not the Trinitron glitch. Perhapps a piece of software running in the background? A virus?

Sound Scheme ???

Go into properties and see if you have the 'birdies' sound scheme.
