Computer HDMI to monitor DP not working?
Hi
I had bought a monitor P2314H that support displayport. i had also purchase d displayport to HDMI adaptor, but when i try to connect it to my PC and the monitor show nothing.
i had try to connect from Monitor DP Port - DP to HDMI convertor - HDMI Cable - My PC HDMI Port.
Is the connection like this not working ?
Please advice

You got it backwards. Computer HDMI out cannot upconvert to monitor DP in via a straight cable. What you bought is designed to do the opposite = Computer DP out to monitor HDMI in.
The P2314H has the following video in ports =
DP
DVI-D SL
VGA
If your computer only has HDMI out, the least expensive choice is the following =
computer HDMI out --> HDMI to DVI cable --> P2314H DVI in
If your computer only has HDMI out, the most expensive choice is the following =
computer HDMI out --> HDMI to HDMI cable --> HDMI in to DP out converter --> DP to DP cable --> P2314H DP in
