Computer will not shut down

Question

I have a XPS D233 service pack 2, my computer will not shut down by it's self. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks for your post to my problem.   I was following the microsoft workaround and got to:   Double-click Universal Serial Bus controllers to expand it, right-click USB Root Hub, and then click Properties.   I have 5 USB Root Hubs listed, is that right? I have USB's on my monitor, front and back of desktop.   Thanks much!
