Dell Optiplex 755 - Error "Floppy Diskette Seek Failure"
I need help resolving this error on my Dell Optiplex 755. At first the computer was showing the error "Floppy Diskette Seek Failure" on the screen, so I went ahead and Hit F2 to go into the BIOS menu and disable the "Onboard or USB Floppy Drive" in the Boot Sequence folder. I then when to Drives>Diskette Drive>OFF. Hit Esc and save & rebooted the computer.
The error doesn't show up anymore and the Dell startup image boots up, however it does not take me to the Windows page. I tried starting it up on safe-mode and normal mode with no success. Just a black screen. Even try checking the LED light, all 4 lights are off, the only light on is what looks to be a Battery symbol next to the 4th light.
Any ideas?
Thanks

Hi,
Please check the boot sequence and make sure HD is the first device.
Please run the hardware diagnostics from the F12 menu and let us know the test results.
Is the HD shown in BIOS??
