Dimension 4300 question

I just recieved my new computer yesterday. It was supposed to be a Dimension 4300, but came in a Dimension 8200 case. Anyone have any ideas why? Maybe they ran out of 4300 cases?

Thanks

The 4300's are built using a similar case to the 8200. What you got is what you should have gotten. See this.

That's not what you said originally. You said "it came in an 8200 case." If you go into Setup, what model is listed on the first page? If it says "8200" at the very top, and you only paid for a 4300, I'd say you got a heck of a deal. Whether your conscience is such that you feel comfortable keeping what may have been such an accidental deal is something only you can address, but that is entirely up to you.

What does your invoice/packing slip say you got?

If you want a second opinion about what you got, you can enter your system service tag at Support and get what Dell claims it is, or you can download and run the free utility here, and see what it says you have under System Information.
