E 520 DIMENSION UPGRADE FROM E6600
I have an E 520 and a e6600 processor . i was told i could put in a Q8400 Core 2 quad processor. i bought one but it is not starting my pc. Does anyone know if this is the correct upgrade or ahve i been given wrong info. If so what processor can i upgrade to?

The Q8400 is a 1333fsb processor and is not supported.
Only 65 nm processors with 800 or 1066fsb will work with the E-520.
Either the Q6600, or the Q6700 should work, but before installing the processor, check that you have BIOS version 2.2.1 [or higher], when additional CPU support was added.
